The Spanish government awarded Carnegie Clean Energy's AGUAMARINA project €1.2 million to improve and expand the deployment of its CETO wave energy device at the Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP) in the Basque Country.
According to Carnegie, the backed AGUAMARINA project will extend and improve CETO deployment in Spain, and it complements the recently won €3.75m EuropeWave contract to manufacture, implement, and operate its CETO technology at BiMEP for a year.
Carnegie CEO Jonathan Fievez stated, "We are very grateful for this support from the Spanish government to build on our EuropeWave ACHIEVE project." It makes sense to improve this platform and increase the value being created.
