In an effort to advance fleet digitalization and operational efficiency, Orange Marine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Orange Group with headquarters in France, recently extended and renewed its service agreement with Opsealog a provider of data integration and analysis services for the maritime and offshore industry.
Orange states that the partnership's major accomplishments so far include the fleet's digitization through the use of monthly reports that provide operational profiles for each vessel, and automatic tracking. To comply with impending environmental requirements, there must also be reporting of CO2 and SOx emissions. A precise record of vessel activities, including hours spent in transit, operations, and standby in port, is also required.
In May 2023, Orange and Opsealog began their collaboration with a three-month test aboard the cable-laying vessel (CLV) Pierre de Fermat.
Modernising our reporting procedures and becoming ready for upcoming environmental laws have been made possible by our partnership with Opsealog. Hugo Plantet, Director of Quality, Safety, and Environment at Orange Marine, stated, "The customised solutions and cutting-edge features created through this collaboration have greatly improved our operational monitoring, intending to manage our environmental footprint."
The partnership has also aided in the establishment of new services, such as reporting and monitoring for marine mammals, that are specifically suited to Orange Marine's requirements.
