Several contracts for surveys and studies for Denmark's new offshore wind fields have been issued by the transmission system operator (TSO) Energinet. The contracts won by GEOxyz, WSP, DNV, and LiveLink Aerospace are for a combined €19.8 million and comprise cable route surveys, advisory services for a variety of maritime environmental studies, and radar analyses.
Following the climate agreement in June 2022, Energinet will conduct a variety of maritime environmental assessments for the planned regions, as directed by the Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities last year. WSP Denmark and DNV will offer consulting services for these studies.
WSP Danmark was awarded the contract for the provision of consulting services for environmental assessments in the North Sea regions. The deal, which is worth €2.6 million, also gives the company the option to start conducting marine environmental studies in Area 2 for North Sea I in early 2024.
