UK-headquartered energy giant BP has signed a new contract with digital twin software provider Aize to deliver visualization services across its offshore assets. The four-year agreement will expand Aize’s software across BP’s facilities globally, following successful deployments in the North Sea, Caspian Sea, and West Africa. The partnership builds on Aize’s proven technical and operational success in these regions.
Nicholas Dent, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Clients and Strategic Partnerships at Aize, expressed enthusiasm about the deal: “We are delighted to support BP’s agenda of operational innovation, leveraging Aize technology to enhance efficiency and deliver substantial value. Under the contract, we have already deployed Aize to twenty BP facilities.”
Aize’s technology enables the visualization of engineering and operational data by integrating information from various internal data sources, providing a unified digital view of physical assets. The contract aims to extend Aize’s support into new geographies and facilities, fostering efficiency and seamless teamwork within BP’s operations.
This agreement builds on Aize’s previous successful collaborations with BP, including the extension of their contract for five North Sea assets in 2023. Additionally, Aker BP expanded its partnership with Aize in 2024 with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreement for all relevant facilities.
BP is also celebrating a significant milestone with its Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project offshore Mauritania and Senegal, marking one of the largest and most complex gas developments in Africa. This milestone follows the introduction of first gas from subsea wells to the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) GTA.
