DOF Group ASA receives €12 million offshore wind export cable maintenance deal

Norwegian offshore operator, DOF Group, has obtained a contract from an international energy operator to repair an export cable for an offshore wind farm in the Southern North Sea. The assignment comprises repairing the damaged cable and terminating it, as well as installing, trenching, and commissioning the new line.

DOF's group CEO, Mons S Aase, referred to the € 12 million offshore wind park project as "highly important" without identifying the organisation or client.

"This award reflects belief in DOF's cable solutions in the renewable energy sector. We look forward to carrying out this critical project to the highest standards."

DOF's responsibilities include project management, engineering, procurement, and logistics for the cable and its related equipment. It will also manage all of the offshore work, which is scheduled to begin in March.

The DOF's expert cable team has already begun preparations in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Bergen, Norway. According to the corporation, the Skandi Hera will serve as the installation vessel. With over 40 years of offshore expertise, the corporation has a solid position in terms of innovation, product variety, technology, and resources.
