What will you do in this position?
The role of the Business Development Manager is, as a minimum, to maintain the current level of business with our key accounts whilst continually striving to drive new business growth without compromising on Quality, H&S or business reputation and integrity. Using networks and market intelligence identify and create new growth opportunities within our current portfolio as well as researching, developing, and presenting new business stream opportunities to the CEO / General Manager – UKCS .
What are your key responsibilities?
• Promote our Clients services and improve market awareness of our capabilities and services and align the business with client/project requirements.
• Promote the concept of key account management and defined by the CEO and UKCS General Manager.
• Responsible for client interactions and relationships and monitoring client feedback to establish new practices or ways of working and relaying this to the appropriate Key Account Manager .
• Using market intelligence and client insight define and influence market strategy and capex decisions
• Using market intelligence and historical information assist the Italian and UK Commercial Department in preparing annual sales plan and budget.
• Attendance to Customer clarification and close-out meetings, when required
• Work closely with the business to ensure business development is sustainable, profitable and within our clients sphere of competence and capability.
• Maintain appropriate tools and processes to identify market potential and identify prospects and leads for growth in sales revenue and turn leads into firm enquiries and orders.
• If required contribute towards pre qualification questionnaires and preferred supplier status with clients/future clients.
• Analyzing activity in the market and developing business plans to establish realistic and targeted growth goals.
• Define areas in the market to actively target and seek new projects and opportunities. Develop tactical and strategic growth plans with the CEO/GM UKCS.
• Using CRM record customer visit reports and business development reports on a regular basis.
• Keep ahead of industry trends and insights to ensure our Client is best prepared for changes in market demands or legislative changes.
• Monitor and report on competitor and client activity.
• Represent the business as necessary at client meetings, technical seminars, etc. and alongside the Marketing Manager organize various Sales/Marketing events, exhibitions, promotions and literature as required.

Qualifications:
• Higher Education Qualified
• 5+ years’ experience in the related offshore survey industry;
• Good written and oral English
• Experience in a strategic capacity at senior management level
• Presenting to varied audiences
