Crowley, a marine firm with headquarters in Florida, has teamed up with the ABS classification organisation to investigate the cutting-edge applications of augmented and virtual reality in the maritime sector. These advancements will give seafarers a safer and more effective choice, and they will let us to offer our clients services that are even more dependable and efficient.
The project will involve a variety of activities involving surveyors, engineers, back-office survey support, virtual walkthroughs, and livestreaming using fully remote and hybrid survey techniques. ABS and Crowley will work together on a joint pilot project for classification-related survey support activities, such as aspects of annual and special surveys, including task crediting.
