For the Dutch OW zone, Arup is awarded a €1.5 million comprehensive ground model contract.
Arup B.V. has been given the contract by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to develop an integrated ground model (IGM) and a geotechnical interpretive report for the Nederwiek Zuid Wind Farm Zone (NWWFZ) in the Netherlands. Based on the outcomes of the geophysical work being done currently in the NWWFZ, the IGM will be developed.
According to the contract award notice, the IGM will then be used as input for the geotechnical campaign, which will validate the geological model produced by the geophysical investigation and confirm the soil engineering properties needed by developers to move forward with their geotechnical foundation designs and other general design and installation requirements for the wind farm.
